Canadian police said 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar shot and killed six at a Canadian school after killing his mother and step-brother on Tuesday.

Police on Wednesday identified the suspect in a school shooting in Canada as an 18-year-old who had prior mental health calls to her home and who was found dead following the attack that killed eight people in a remote part of British Columbia.

Van Rootselaar, who killed nine others before committing suicide, is suspected by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to have acted alone.
