Learner drivers to get refunds from AA and BSM
Digest more
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) found AA Driving School and BSM Driving School failed to include a mandatory £3 booking fee in their upfront prices - a practice known as drip-pricing. Customers will receive automatic refunds averaging £9 each, totalling more than £760,000, without needing to take any action.
Learner drivers have been speaking to Sky News about the prices they're paying for lessons and how long some are waiting for practical tests. It follows the AA being fined over 'drip pricing' - where people were not shown the full price of lessons up front.
